The Volcano

Phoenix had a project in his 1st grade class to write a book. I think it's awesome. He wrote a little textbook on volcanos. It's called The Volcano! I'll be providing some translation as Phoenix is writing with "creative spelling."
There are 6 layers in the earth.
Geysers are need heat and water. Phoenix still gets his orientation of "d" mixed up, which actually makes his spelling of "wadir" pretty good sounding out.
Some volcano are extinct.
Caves sometimes have problems. The problems are hot lava flowing through the caves.
That is quite a problem isn't it. You're taking a stroll through a cave and suddenly HOT LAVA! Boy, that pour soul in the drawing. He just doesn't know what's coming.

Cave have crystal.
The End. Can I just say how much I loved this "book"! I love how Phoenix draws too. Heidi always draws wonderful things and she draws them very well. Phoenix just draws so much differently. Heidi draws nouns: birds, flowers, rainbows, fairies. Phoenix draws verbs: shooting, falling, swinging, blowing up. Is it a boy/girl thing? Or just a different artist thing?

Hey Selene,
I notice the same thing with my kids. Some of Hayden's pics make me think he'd worry a psychologist because there's so much going on, but I love them because they communicate SO MUCH just through a picture... like you get a direct line straight to his brain!
