Cortis' folks gave us their old kitchen corner table. It is in beautiful condition but the shellac had worn away on quite of few spots on the tabletop. I enjoy making wood furniture last so I refinished it (this time with 5 coats of polyurethane and not heat-sensitive, water-susceptible shellac).

I chose a satin finish so it's not super, super shiny but more of a soft polished feel.
As always, it took way longer than I planned and cost more too. But I'm very happy with the finished product.

That looks great! Did you have to sand it first?
Just a little light sanding. It had a veneer top so it couldn't stand too much sanding.
Well done! Those jobs always take longer than expected.
